The Occidental Tigers defeated Whittier 8-1 in the unfriendly confines of Eagle Rock, Calif., on March 24. 

Despite the apparent one-sided score, the Poets played the Tigers pretty tight. They got off to a quick start with a victory at number #1 doubles by  Justin DeLong '10 and Sean Robertson '10. The other doubles played strong as well. The team could not maintain this level in singles play however.  "We lack the talent to beat teams like this," Coach Bojalad breaks it down, "we need more guys to support the top of our line-up in matches and push these guys in practice."

The Poets next play March 27 at home versus Pacific Northwest Conference's Willamette.
