CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Whittier College Women's Lacrosse team dropped their sixth straight game Saturday falling 17-5 to Pomona-Pitzer.

The Purple & Gold have now given up on average 17 goals per game during this stretch and drop to 3-12, 0-8 SCIAC.

Sarah Morgan (Tustin, Calif.) stood out during the game adding a hat trick on four shots.  Lexie Meanor (Sewickley, PA) and Ilah Hardersen (Buckley, WA) added the other two goals for the Poets.  They both combined for five draw controls.

Pomona-Pitzer started off hot with the first 10 goals before Morgan was able to convert a free-position attempt right before the half.  In the second Whittier found their offense with another four tallies but it couldn't spark a comeback.

Madison Topping (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) in goal finished with a career high 21 saves against 38 shots.

Whittier was outshot 41-11, grabbed 11 groundballs, and added nine draw controls.  They were efficient on clear attempts going 7-for-9 and were 2-for-5 on free position attempts.

Whittier returns to the field this Wednesday, April 17 when they host the University of Redlands on Dr. Bergerson Tribute Night.
