INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 5, 2024) – The Whittier College women's swimming & diving team has been named as one of 783 teams from 461 different institutions to qualify for College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America for Fall 2023.

In order to qualify for recognition, swimming & diving programs across all three divisions had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester (3.00 GPA or higher). The same criteria is utilized for individual recognition. The Whittier women averaged an exceptional 3.44 team GPA, with an overwhelming majority of the program (16 athletes) qualifying for individual honors.

Of the selected teams, an impressive 595 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above, earning eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.

Head Coach Michael Jafari and the Poets will have one final meet before competing in the SCIAC Championship meet later this month. They will head to Occidental College this weekend to take on the Tigers, along with the University of Redlands.
