WHITTIER, Calif. (Sept. 5, 2025) -- The Whittier College volleyball team is set to co-host the annual Whittier College Volleyball Invitational, which will be held on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 5 and 6 at Dave Jacobs Court at the Graham Athletic Center. The University of La Verne will also host matches on the weekend, along with Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.
Eight matches will be hosted at Whittier over both days, with the Poets set for action in a total four home games, two per day. Head Coach Chris Duarte-McDermott's squad will first play on Friday at 1 p.m. against Whitman College, and then at 7 p.m. against University of California, Santa Cruz. The Poets will turn around to play at 1:30 p.m. against the University of California, Santa Cruz on Saturday, and later at 6:30 p.m. against Occidental College in non-conference fare.
