Donna came to Whittier College from Whittier High where she was an outstanding student and athlete, excelling in tennis, basketball, track and softball. At Whittier she lettered on the men’s tennis team as #3 player in 1975-76. She earned three letters in the women’s tennis, being SCIAC champ in singles in 1976-77 and 1977-78 and doubles in 1978-79. 

Named to the SCIAC women’s cross country all-conference team in 1978-79, Donna was named Poet female athlete of the year both sophomore and senior years and scholar athlete of the year in 1978-79. A four-year choir member, Donna was homecoming senior princess, on the National Deans’ Honor Roll. WHO’S WHO AMONG STUDENTS and one of the OUTSTANDING YOUNG WOMEN OF AMERICA in 1979. She coached girl’s tennis for two years at Whittier High. 

Donna is Assistant Director of the Student Housing and Residence Program at Oregon State University where her husband Bill is assistant minister and professor. They have one daughter, Christa. Donna received her M Ed. degree at Oregon State in 1984.
