  • Served as Superintendent of Ranch Park, Lake Arrowhead, Ojai, Thunderbird, Riviera and Friendly Hills Clubs

  • In charge of Riviera 1948 to 1956 when five L.A Opens were held there

  • Named Outstanding Superintendent in 1957

  • Received Recognition by SCGA in 1970 for Exceptional Service to Golfers in So. Cal

  • Author of articles for Golf Life, Golf Dome and Golf Coast Reporter

  • Built Knollwood and Friendly Hills Courses

  • In Golf for 44 years

  • Friendly Hills holds the George Lamphear Invitational Tournament each year
