Julie came to campus as a heralded athlete from Wilson High School in Hacienda Heights and graduated as the most outstanding all-around female athlete to have competed in athletics at Whittier College.

Athletic Accomplishments from 1983-87:

  • 4 time letterwinner in both basketball and softball

  • Freshman Female Athlete of the Year and 3 time Female Athlete of the Year

Basketball

  • All SCIAC 1st team all 4 years

  • SCIAC Player of the Year 1986

  • NCAA Division III All West Region 1st team for 3 years

  • AWSF Little College All America 1st team 1986

Softball

  • All SCIAC 1st team for 3 years

  • SCIAC Player of the Year for 3 years

  • NCAA Division II All West Region 1st team for 2 years

Julie received her Master’s Degree from the United States Sports Academy in 1988 and coached Volleyball, Basketball and Softball at Claremont Colleges for 4 years. She is presently completing her 3rd year at University of La Verne where she coaches Basketball and Softball and Asst. Professor of PER.
