  • Jack came to Whittier College from Banning HS

  • Earned B.A. degree at Whittier College and M.A. at USC

  • Won 3 varsity letters in Football and 3 in Baseball 

  • All Conference SCIAC in Football two times and twice in Baseball 

  • Captain of the 1942 Football team

  • Elected Most Valuable Player in Football in 1942

  • Named All Coast in Football the same year

  • In Baseball he led the conference in Home Runs and Batting (.478)

  • Jack signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers and played four years in the Minor Leagues

  • Second Lieutenant U.S Air Force, 1944-46

  • Teacher, Coach, Athletic Director, Assistant Principal and Principal at Whittier High from 1967-80 when he retired

  • Served on the Whittier City Council, 1976-80

  • Mayor 1978 and 1979
