Patricia was an outstanding athlete at Pioneer High School where she lettered for four years in varsity basketball, receiving All League honorable mention in 1976-78 and in 1978-79 .
She was named the Whitmon League’s most valuable basketball player, was first team All CIF Division II in basketball and also lettered two years in both softball and volleyball.
After spending a year at CSU Stanislaus, where she was All WAC 2nd team basketball, Pat came to Whittier College and established herself as an outstanding woman athlete. Her impressive records at Whittier read as follows: three-year letter in basketball; 1981-82, named First Team SCIAC; 1982-83, named Second Team SCIAC and First Team NCAA III West Region, NCAA Division III 4th in the nation for free throw percentage, NCAA Division III 12th in the nation shooting percentage, 1984, Whittier College Female Athlete of the Year. In addition Pat lettered for two years in both volleyball and track & field
Since 1991, Pat has been Santa Fe High School girls assistant varsity basketball coach; she also served as the head women’s basketball coach at Whittier College from 1988-90. She is currently employed by the city of Santa Fe Springs Community Services Department as recreation leader in charge of youth sports and park activities. Pat and her husband Kenneth (‘86) are the parents of Matthew, age 3; they expect a second child momentarily.
