  • Coming from Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, George entered Whittier College in 1974 where he participated in Track and Basketball

  • All SCIAC in Track, 1975-76, High Jump of 6’4”

  • 3 Year letterman on the Varsity Team leading his team and breaking Whittier College records in field goal percentages 

  • Set two poet records for field goal percentage in a league season and in an entire season, .698 and .633 respectively

  • Served as Co-Captain of the 1977-78 Basketball team which earned a 12-0 conference record for the session, winning 31 straight conference games, including the prior two years, a SCIAC record

  • All Conference SCIAC 1976-77 and 1977-78

  • All District NAIA Division III in 1976-77 and 1977-78

  • Whittier College Athlete of the Year and NAIA Honorable Mention during his Senior Year 

  • After graduating from Whittier College, George attended George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he earned the Doctor of Medicine degree in 1989
