• Qualified for U.S Olympics Team Trials in 1928 and in 1932

• Named to All American Track and Field Team by N.C.A.A in 1930 

• Ran best Time in Nation for 220 yd. Dash in 1930 in 20.4 seconds 

• Won 3 varsity letters in Track and 2 in Football

• Track Captain in 1931

• Held the Conference Records in 100 yd. And 220 yd. Dashes 

• Defeated Nations Greats Charles Paddock, Frank Wycoff and Charles Borah

• Won Race of Century in the Coliseum in 1928 

• Coached Los Angeles 28th Street Y.M.C.A Basketball Team to 8 Championships.
